The Tax Man Strikes Again! #Guyana

With immediate effect on all existing bookings for flights going to Guyana,

the Departure Tax payable by passengers leaving Guyana will now be taken

by the airlines and remitted to the Guyana Revenue Authority.

This means that the additional mandatory taxes will be added to your existing booking(s) and collected by your travel agents/tour operators in the UK upon paying your balances. This, in effect eliminates having to pay at the Revenue Authority kiosks at the airports in Guyana.

Tax increases are between £24-£28 dependent on the airport of departure i.e. Ogle or Cheddi Jagan.
